Lauren ‘concerned’ about how Arsenal deal with pressure ahead of crunch Manchester City meeting

Former Arsenal Invincible Lauren is “concerned about” how Mikel Arteta’s team will deal with the pressure of a Premier League title challenge.

The Gunners host Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium tonight on their worst run of the season.

While Arteta’s side have largely conquered every hurdle thrown at them thus far, they are without a win in their last three games and defeat to City would see their lead cut completely.

The Arsenal boss has called on the club’s supporters to turn the Emirates into a cauldron of noise for the visit of the champions, who look set to have Erling Haaland at their disposal despite a recent injury scare.

Lauren, who formed part of the Arsenal team who last won the League in 2004, believes Arteta’s young side have it all to prove.

“I’m a little bit concerned about Arsenal, not about the performance of the team”, he told Betway.

“I’m more concerned how their players can handle the big pressure. When the title is very close, how will they address the pressure and deal with the big moments?”
