Laura Tobin 'ruined' Good Morning Britain viewers' day on Tuesday, when she delivered a grim prediction on a drastic change of weather for the coming days.
In the last few weeks, Brits have enjoyed an extended spell of boiling hot weather, with big events like Glastonbury, Royal Ascot and The Hoppings in Newcastle, being bathed in warm sunshine as revellers basked in temperatures in the high 20s. And, while there are reports of another heatwave on the cards and talk of the thermometer hitting record highs of 40 ºC, there's going to be a pretty sudden and very obvious downturn in summery conditions this week.
And it was the job of GMB weather expert Laura to deliver the bad news, as she gave regular updates during Tuesday's edition of the ITV breakfast show. Shortly before 7am, Laura appeared in the studio to present an early forecast, kicking it off by saying: "We've seen some changes in our forecast and that continues all week. It's going to be cooler, cloudier and more unsettled."

Laura continued by explaining for the reason in the change of weather was that the high pressure that kept things very warm last week had "moved away," adding: "And low pressure has moved in. Low pressure brings more cloud and more rain; particularly in Northern areas as we move through the next few days, while in the south, it will still feel; rather muggy."
Examining the outlook for the next few days, Laura did have a bit of good news, revealing that temperatures aren't set to dip too slow, with averages of 18 to 20 in the north, with the sweltering conditions in the south set to dip to an average of around 22. Replying to a clip of one of Laura's forecasts shared on Twitter, one viewer replied: "Bring back the hot weather."
Confused as to what weather was in store for them, giving the vague positioning of the map, another tweeted: "could you tell me where the line is for the north and the south on the weather chart we live in the middle and I would like to know which is north."
