The Daily Star reports that Laura and Jasmine have since set the record straight about the future of the show. Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday, 40-year-old Laura posed up a sitting near the sea - oozing style and confidence.
In the caption she said: "Lots of people have been asking me when @aplaceinthesunofficial be back on screen...It's coming... we are filming lots more episodes AND something new and exciting is coming too..."
She would then go on to confirm that brand-new episodes would start showing from May 1.
Elsewhere, Jasmine, 47, also put viewers' minds at rest by confirming the future of the show. Sitting on a sandy beach, she posted: "I know so many of you are missing your favourite daytime TV show on Channel 4, but don't panic.
“It hasn't been "cancelled" or "dropped" as some are suggesting. Far from it, we are literally filming loads of new episodes right now! It will be back on air from 3rd April, and brand new episodes starting on 1st May! Thanks for all the love!”
Channel 4 was also forced to release a statement, addressing rumours that the show had been cut. They said: “The most recent series of A Place In The Sun has finished but viewers can enjoy a brilliant new show, Tool Club.
