She may not yet be engaged, but Love Island star Laura Anderson is already planning her big wedding day to Dane Bowers after a year of living together.
The 33-year-old reality star was a contestant on the hit ITV2 dating show in 2018 – and while she was unlucky in love in the villa, she has since found true romance with 42-year-old music star Dane.
The couple sparked a romance back in 2017 before splitting and Laura jetted to Majorca to participate in Love Island where she was brutally dumped by Wes Nelson.
Laura and Dane then rekindled their love in 2020 and have endured something of an on-off affair – but things have been firmly on track since they moved in together last September.
Speaking to Closer magazine, Laura explained that she can only see Dane in her future – and she is planning to tie-the-knot with him in their adopted home nation of Dubai, where they now live.
She told the magazine: “I would have the biggest wedding that I could afford, and I would definitely get married in Dubai because you don’t have to worry about the weather.”
Laura went on to explain that celebs will be among the wedding party and on the guest list.
She teased: “Dane will have some celebrity groomsmen, but I would choose friends who I have known for a long time to be my bridesmaids – though I’d definitely invite people form the industry who I have met more recently.”
Laura also gave an insight into her and Dane’s romance – saying they are stronger than ever since moving in together.
She explained: “We’ve been living together for about a year. I would never have moved here and moved in with him if I didn’t want to get married.
“So we talk about it all the time, but we’ve got some stuff that we want to achieve first – we still need to go on our first romantic holiday, so we’re going to Mykonos in the summer for a friend’s wedding.”
And it’s not just a big wedding Laura has planned – as she also has babies on her mind.
She said: “I think an engagement would be first, and we’ve been trying to have a baby. They say things happen in threes so I think everything will happen… but we’re still young – well, I am anyway!”
It’s not the first time Laura and Dane have peeled back the covers of their private lives to discuss their parenting plans.
Dane previously told OK! Magazine: "We’re talking about marriage and babies and we’d like to do that soon. This is it. This is proper. This is The One."
"We’re practising with the baby bit now.”
Laura added at the time: "We are practising! I think we’ll probably have a baby first, now it’s not illegal to do that here [have children before marriage in Dubai]… Dane wants a girl and a boy."
The ex-air hostess added: "There have been a lot of conversations. But marriage and having a big wedding isn’t for right now."
