'Laughed off' - Nottingham Forest receive transfer response as Everton claim made

Nottingham Forest supporters have made their feelings clear after the club were linked with an interest in Everton defender Michael Keane.

Forest are said to have been joined by East Midlands rivals Leicester City in the race to sign the former England defender, who has not been on good form on Merseyside in recent years.

After news of Forest's interest emerged, supporters have not been backwards in coming forwards when saying what they think of a possible move for Keane. Below is a look at what some of them have been saying on social media.

Cheeks : What's the fee paid to Burnley 5 years ago got to do with anything? Since then he forgot how to defend and his contract is immovable unless some complete idiot ignores all that. Everton should be laughed off the phone if they're asking for money.

Steve Mcgreade : Don’t want him don’t need him, don’t spend money on a dead beat, he’ll have no resale value in twelve months.

Dan Waldron : Won't be happy with signing other relegation teams off casts. We already have Boly.

Glyn Daniels : No thanks. We already have better players at the club.

Michael Postles : I'll be amazed if he arrives at Forest.

Dave Cowley : Is he any better than what we have??? Don't think so as he can't even get into the Everton first team!!!!

Mark Dollochin : Not good enough worse than what we have got- please let this fall through.

Tom Hulley : Waste of money. Need a striker as the ones we've signed aren't up to it.
