Laugh Factory Expands With New Division And Senior Leadership Team

The Loneliness Of Leadership: A Hidden Challenge For Ceos

The Laugh Factory, a renowned comedy brand based in Los Angeles, is embarking on a significant expansion initiative. Under the ownership of Jamie Masada, the company is making strategic moves to drive substantial growth. One of the key developments is the establishment of Laugh Factory Entertainment, a new division that will focus on creating various forms of entertainment content such as television shows, films, streaming content, social media initiatives, podcasts, web series, and live events.

To lead this expansion, the company has brought on board two seasoned executives. David Fuhrer has been appointed as the president of Laugh Factory, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the global toy industry. Fuhrer, known for his entrepreneurial spirit, has previously held leadership positions at BlueSquare Innovations and FUNANUF, where he specialized in creating and licensing toys, household products, and family entertainment. Notably, Fuhrer holds a Guinness World Record for being the fastest backwards talker and has showcased this talent on various popular TV shows.

Joining Fuhrer is John Weiser, who assumes the role of head of entertainment at Laugh Factory. Weiser brings over three decades of experience from his tenure at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he held various key positions, including president of distribution, feature films, and television. During his time at Sony, Weiser played a pivotal role in negotiating syndication deals for hit shows like Seinfeld and oversaw a vast library of TV shows and films.

As part of its expansion plans, Laugh Factory is also set to undergo significant upgrades at its iconic location on Sunset Boulevard and is eyeing the launch of new clubs worldwide. The company already has satellite locations in cities like Chicago, Long Beach, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Reno.

The addition of Fuhrer and Weiser to the leadership team signals a new chapter for Laugh Factory as it aims to diversify its entertainment offerings and reach a broader audience through various platforms. With a strong foundation in place and a clear vision for growth, the future looks promising for this legendary comedy brand.
