
A boy aged 17 has been charged with murdering a teenager shot dead in south London.
Lathaniel Burrell, 16, died shortly before 3.30pm in Paradise Road, Stockwell on March 4.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Bromley Youth Court on Wednesday.
Omar Prempeh, 32, of Stanstead Road, Forest Hill, south-east London, has already been charged with murder and is due at the Old Bailey.
Lathaniel’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers, the Metropolitan Police said.
Relatives previously described him as a Manchester United fan who enjoyed playing Playstation 5 and had one sibling, a sister.
A woman who said she knew the boy’s mother described the teenager as “very bright at school” and that his father worked at a nearby go-karting facility.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee said: “Though we have made progress with this investigation, we continue to appeal for anyone with information about Lathaniel’s murder to please come forward and speak to us.
“We’re particularly appealing to anyone who was in the area of Paradise Road on Tuesday, March 4.
“I’d also appeal to anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage around this time to come forward.
“Our priority remains tracking down those responsible for killing Lathaniel and bring them to justice.”
