Tottenham are back in action this evening as they look to resume their fine start to the season following the international break.
Manchester City are in town as Jose Mourinho's men look to prove their title race credentials, currently just one point behind Leicester City in top spot.
Mourinho will, no doubt, be delighted with the start his side have made to the season, but there is always room for improvement and that's something that will also be occupying the Portuguese boss's mind as we approach the January transfer window.
Rumours suggest Spurs could add a few names to their squad ahead of the second half of the reason, and below we run you through the latest from the rumour mill below as Spurs prepare for this evening's clash with Man City.
Mariano tipped for loan move
Tottenham have been handed the chance to sign Real Madrid frontman Mariano Diaz.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are willing to allow the Dominican Republic international to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on loan for the second half of the season.
And Spurs have been tipped to make a move despite landing Carlos Vinicius on loan ahead of the new season with Jose Mourinho heading into the season desperate to add another striker.
Mariano has been with Real since 2018 when he joined from Lyon for the best part of £20million, but the 27-year-old has only made 19 La Liga appearances since.
Rudiger move not dead yet
Spurs were said to have made a move for Antonio Rudiger during the summer transfer window, expressing interest in a late loan move.
The move was rejected by Rudiger who didn't want to complicate his Chelsea relationship by spending time with a direct rival and then returning, or at least that's what The Athletic claim.
But he could yet wind up in North London with Eurosport now saying Chelsea are open to selling Rudiger in the winter window, providing Spurs with a chance to sign the German on a permanent deal.
Rudiger has been out of favour this season after missing his chance to depart before the season.
Kane tipped to leave based on one condition
Harry Kane has been tipped to leave Tottenham if they are not able to win silverware in the coming year or so.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara claims Mourinho must find a way to achieve success at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if he wants to keep Kane.
“Spurs need to win a title or an FA Cup to keep Kane at the club,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.
“If it goes another couple of seasons without a trophy he’ll move on.
“Spurs need to back the manager and make sure we win something.”
