Latest Tottenham injury news as six miss Everton with Hugo Lloris return and Ivan Perisic hint

Cristian Stellini will take charge of his first Tottenham game as acting head coach this evening against Everton. The Italian took over from Antonio Conte until the end of the season and has the task of finishing in the Premier League's top four.

Spurs are currently outside the Champions League places following the weekend's results. Newcastle's 2-0 win over Manchester United means Eddie Howe's side are now third, one point above the north Londoners.

Stellini and Ryan Mason have ten games left of the current season to ensure Champions League football awaits the next permanent boss, starting today at Goodison Park.

The interim bosses could be greeted with a major boost for the trip to Merseyside with the return of Hugo Lloris. The goalkeeper has been training during the international break after seven weeks out with a knee injury and could retain his place in place of Fraser Forster.

"Lloris has been training since last week so he is training also this week with the team," the Italian said. "Hugo is fit and well, so we have to take a decision with the keeper."

Elsewhere, there remains a number of injury concerns at Hotspur Way. Midfielder Yves Bissouma remains sidelined after requiring surgery to repair a stress fracture on his left ankle whilst Ryan Sessegnon continues to miss out.

"We have players that had serious injuries," Stellini said before the international break "Sessegnon won't be ready after the international break, it's the same for Bissouma."

Spurs will also be without versatile defender Ben Davies. The Welshman is set to face at least four weeks on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring strain in the 3-3 draw with Southampton.

There will also be no Emerson Royal after the Brazilian underwent surgery on a knee problem. The right-back is expected to be out for over a month, confirmed by his father, who said: "The surgery went well, it really was the meniscus. Recovery is usually 3 to 6 weeks. But based on Royal's genetics, I believe he will recover soon.

"My company has a multidisciplinary team and through the Heraclito Research and Analysis Center we carry out genetic tests on our players in a Spanish laboratory."

Ivan Perisic took a knock last week while away on international duty with Croatia. However, Stellini told football.london on Friday that the 34-year-old was fit to feature against Everton. He said: "Perisic is fit and well and he trained today. It was only a kick."

Finally, Richarlison will be unavailable for tonight's contest after he was taken off in the early stages of the 3-3 draw on the south coast. The latest from Stellini was that the Brazilian had "problems" and was not ready to feature.

Rodrigo Bentancur is the only player confirmed to miss the remainder of the season. The midfielder suffered an ACL injury in February's 4-1 loss at Leicester City.
