Latest snapshot of coronavirus impact

Australia's COVID-19 death toll has risen to 5722 after 28 further deaths around the country. (AAP)

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 55,608,918 vaccine doses administered in the national COVID-19 rollout up to Friday, including 100,896 recorded in the previous 24 hours.

* Of that total, 35,116,913 have been administered by commonwealth facilities, an increase of 77,421 in the previous 24 hours.

* State and territory facilities have administered 20,492,005 vaccines, an increase of 23,475 in the previous 24 hours.

* About 96.64 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 94.90 per cent are double vaccinated.

* A total of 12,455,925 people have received more than two doses - with a booster or top-up shot - an increase of 53,234 in the previous 24 hours.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* 46,422 new cases: 19,060 in NSW, 7847 in Victoria, 7120 in Queensland, 5838 in Western Australia, 3724 in South Australia, 1479 in Tasmania, 1122 in the ACT and 232 in the Northern Territory.

* The national death toll is 5722 (+28): NSW 2019 (+12), Victoria 2675 (+2), Queensland 683 (+10), South Australia 231, ACT 38, NT 31, Tasmania 27 and WA 20 (+4). (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 467,704,403

* Deaths: at least 6,070,380

* Vaccine doses administered: 10,772,867,609.
