Latest snapshot of coronavirus impact

More than 95 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. (AAP)

AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:

* There have been 53,697,719 vaccine doses administered in the national COVID-19 rollout up to Wednesday, including 125,035 recorded in the previous 24 hours.

* Of that total, 33,668,063 have been administered by commonwealth facilities, an increase of 102,901 in the previous 24 hours.

* State and territory facilities have administered 20,029,656 vaccines, an increase of 22,134 in the last 24 hours.

* More than 95 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 94.4 per cent are double vaccinated.

* A total of 11,155,371 adults have received more than two doses - a booster or top-up shot - an increase of 104,040 in the previous 24 hours.

AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* 25,703 new cases: 8271 in NSW, 6715 in Victoria, 6094 in Queensland, 1735 in South Australia, 661 in the ACT, 853 in Tasmania, 757 in the Northern Territory and 617 in Western Australia.

* The national death toll is 5068 (+42): NSW 1871 (+12), Victoria 2426 (+16), Queensland 513 (+8), South Australia 172 (+3), ACT 33, NT 19 (+3), Tasmania 24 and WA 10. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).

GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:

* Cases: at least 429,718,461

* Deaths: at least 5,917,665

* Vaccine doses administered: 10,424,358,449
