AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:
* There have been 55,508,022 vaccine doses administered in the national COVID-19 rollout up to Thursday, including 92,821 recorded in the previous 24 hours.
* Of that total, 35,039,492 have been administered by commonwealth facilities, an increase of 71,664 in the previous 24 hours.
* State and territory facilities have administered 20,468,530 vaccines, an increase of 21,157 in the previous 24 hours.
* About 96.62 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 94.87 per cent are double vaccinated.
* A total of 12,402,691 people have received more than two doses - with a booster or top-up shot - an increase of 50,019 in the previous 24 hours.
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* 48,799 new cases: 20,050 in NSW, 9036 in Victoria, 6103 in Queensland, 6176 in Western Australia, 4274 in South Australia, 1779 in Tasmania, 1123 in the ACT and 258 in the Northern Territory.
* The national death toll is 5693 (+29): NSW 2007 (+6), Victoria 2673 (+9), Queensland 673 (+11), South Australia 231 (+3), ACT 38, NT 31, Tasmania 27 and WA 15. (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
