A further 7,640 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland – with the disease sadly claiming another 15 lives.
Data published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland show there are 934 patients with Covid in Scottish hospitals, which is down 16 from yesterday.
There are currently 21 people being treated with the disease in ICUs across the nation.
The new fatalites within the last 24 hours mean the nation's death toll from the virus now stands at 10,462.
However, 13,075 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, February 6 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Meanwhile, there are 83 patients with Covid in Ayrshire hospitals – up one from yesterday – while fewer than five people are being treated with the illness in the region's intensive care units.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City has the highest rate in the country – at 705.6 as of Tuesday, February 8.
Aberdeen City has the second-highest infection rate at 641.3 while Midlothian is third with 596.9.
In terms of Ayrshire's three local authorities, East Ayrshire has the highest rate of 381.6; North Ayrshire's rate stands at 311.4 while South Ayrshire's is 302.3.
Of the 136 positive PCR cases reported in Ayrshire, 53 were in North Ayrshire with 48 in East Ayrshire and 35 in South Ayrshire.
