Love Island recouplings always come with some kind of drama but last night’s had a sneaky new twist. At the end of Wednesday night’s episode we were introduced to the two new bombshells Ellie and Spencer and were told they would get to choose their partner before the boys could, and last night we got to see who they coupled up with.
After a week of being apart, Lana and Ron were looking forward to being a couple again and sharing a bed together once more, but new girl Ellie had other plans for the two of them. Going first Ellie explained why she wanted to couple up with her choice, saying “From what I’ve seen so far he seems really funny, handsome, I don’t think he’s met his match yet and I’m really looking forward to getting to know him better.”
Ellie doesn’t seem afraid to step on anyone’s toes as she gives her opinion on Ron and Lana as a couple. Fans have divided opinions on what Ellie said, some agree they’re not working and come across as boring while others think they're a really sweet couple but that Ron cannot be trusted.

Another fan said “Ron seems like he wants to have his cake and eat it too. The type that believes he’s one of the strong couples in the villa but still wants to “test” it with other girls. It’s giving Jacques. Lana you are in danger girl.”
It seems while Ron seems happy with Lana that maybe his head could turn for this new fiery blond who has entered the villa. But some feel while he may enjoy flirting with other girls he will come back to Lana as she is his “safe” option in the villa.
A Twitter user who watched last night’s episode said “Ron is sketchy & he’s very sly with it. Based off what I’ve seen, he’s aware that Ellie is a better match for him but Lana is a safer option. I won’t be shocked if he remains with Lana. He’s quite predictable. #LoveIsland.”
Only time will tell if Lana and Ron can get through this rough patch but one thing’s for sure, viewers think Ellie is going to cause some head turning and drama in the villa.
