Latest incredible footage shows Everton new stadium stands rising at Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton's progress on their new stadium project at Bramley-Moore Dock is continuing to gather significant pace.

The Blues have been hard at work on the waterfront site for almost a year and have already managed to complete a stark transformation of the surroundings over the course of that time. Where there was once an abandoned and unused body of water, there is now a hive of activity undertaking a busy construction.

Over recent months, weeks and even the last few days the club have regularly provided supporters with exciting updates from the dock - from the first surveys being carried out right up to the concrete superstructure beginning to rise up above the dock walls.

During that time, some fans have also took it upon themselves to regularly visit the waterfront and grab their own footage of the progress. One of those has been YouTube user Barry1878, who has travelled to Bramley-Moore on almost a weekly basis in recent months to capture incredible drone footage as Everton have continued their work.

The latest video shows the construction taking place in the beautiful evening light in Liverpool. Rather than being the usual hive of activity, it's quiet at that time given that everyone working on the project will have already gone home at the point of filming.

The drone takes a long, sweeping journey around the whole perimeter of the site, taking ten minutes in total in what is undoubtedly an extensive look at the state-of-play the new stadium project finds itself in. Starting where the East Stand will eventually sit, the drone continues clockwise to detail what the club have achieved in recent weeks.

Along where the impressive single-tier South Stand will eventually be, the raker beams which will eventually support the superstructure are visible for the first time. The drone flies around the outside of the steel giving a great look from a number of angles of what will come all around the site.

Four huge tower cranes are now in place at Bramley-Moore Dock, each with an Everton logo on them. The latest footage from the site doesn't show them in action, but their inclusion on the site ties in with the elements of the concrete superstructure starting to be assembled on both the East and West sides of the area.

This is predominantly comprised of precast concrete components which are manufactured off site, transported to Bramley-Moore Dock and then assembled by Laing O’Rourke’s specialist team. These building blocks arrive on site in a pre-determined order and are effectively slotted together above the concrete foundations.

As the video pans around to show a view from the west side of the construction, the staircases inside the concrete corners of the ground are easily visible. In the coming years, they will be the route that thousands of Evertonians will use to get to their seats in what is set to be a stunning new stadium.

Meanwhile, the area in which the North Stand will be is showing a lot of the steelwork already in place, and nearly joining up two of the corners of the ground. The coming months could be hugely exciting in this sense, as whole stands could soon be visible over the top of the dock walls.

As the camera comes back around to its starting position, the scaffolding around the hydraulic water tower is still clearly visible. That was initially installed to ensure that the listed building was protected while the foundation piling process and sand-compacting work was taking place, but that protection is still in place while the project is entering its next phase.
