Lidl, Tesco and Birds Eye are just some of the names currently recalling their food products.
Certain products have been recalled because they pose a health risk, therefore consumers have been advised to return the products involved to obtain a full refund.
Some of the food items contain allergens that aren't written in English on the packaging, one contains nuts which aren't disclosed, and another contains small pieces of plastic.
Notices have been issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Trading Standards who issue recalls on products that should not be sold.
These are the ones to look out for from the past week:
Tesco - Takeaway Hot Indian Meal for 2

Tesco is recalling their Takeaway Hot Indian Meal for 2 because it contains cashew nuts, which are not mentioned on the outer packaging.
This is due to some packs of the product being incorrectly packed with their Chicken Korma - which contains cashew nuts.
The product poses a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts, therefore the Foods Standards Agency advises customers with a nut allergy to not eat it.
You can return the takeaway meal to the store where it was bought for a full refund.
The product being recalled is the pack size 1.67kg with a use-by date of October 19, 2019.
Birds Eye - 50 Chicken Nuggets

Birds Eye is recalling Birds Eye 50 Chicken Nuggets with Golden Wholegrain because they may contain small pieces of plastic, therefore the product is unsafe to eat.
The nuggets being recalled is the 790g pack size with batch codes: L9208 W V124, L9208 X V124, L9208 Y V124, L9208 Z V124 - with a best before date of October 2020.
If you've bought the product, the Foods Standards Agency advises customers to not eat it, and instead return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full refund.
You can also contact the Birds Eye customer services on 0800 917 5410.
Lidl - Alpenfest Pretzel Ice Cream

Lidl is recalling their Alpenfest Pretzel Ice Cream because it contains egg, hazelnut, milk, soya and wheat, which are not provided in English on the label.
The ice cream may also contain other nuts, peanuts and sesame, which are also not provided in English on the label.
This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg, milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or an allergy to soya, sesame, hazelnuts, peanuts or other nuts.
The product being recalled is the 500ml pack size, with a best before date of February 28, 2021.
Food Standards Agency say if you have bought the ice cream and have an allergy or intolerance to egg, milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or an allergy to soya, sesame, hazelnuts, peanuts or other nuts, to not eat it.
Instead, you can return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Lidl - Sondey Grandino Cookies

Lidl is recalling an assorted range of their Sondey Grandino Cookies, also for the packaging not being in English.
The cookies contain wheat, hazelnuts, milk, eggs, soya and oats, however as this isn't listed in English, it can pose a health risk to those with allergies or intolerances.
The cookies involved are: White Choc & Cranberry - 200g, Triple Chocolate - 200g, Hazelnut Creme Centre - 200g, and the Soft Baked Triple Choc range - 210g.
If you have bought the above product, and have an allergy or intolerance to one of the above allergens, then Trading Standards advises to not eat it. Instead, return it to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
