Coronavirus infection rates have continued to fall across all ten boroughs of Greater Manchester.
And rates across the region remain below the national average, latest figures have revealed.
Stockport continues to have the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, with 656.4 cases per 100,000 people as of week ending February 5.
The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 449.0 cases per 100,000 people.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 536.8 cases per 100,000 population.
The infection rate in the region is lower than the national average, which is 836.5 cases per 100,000 people.
A total of 15,222 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on February 5.
The Greater Manchester weekly total has decreased by 6929 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate was down 31 per cent in the last week.
Hospital admissions
In the week ending on January 30, a total of 595 patients were admitted to Greater Manchester NHS hospitals with Covid-19. That is 81 fewer than the week before, a fall of 16%.
On Tuesday February 01, there were 30 Mechanical Ventilation (MV) beds occupied by Covid patients in Greater Manchester NHS hospitals. That is one fewer than a week earlier.
Deaths
In the week ending February 5, a total of 84 people died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 13 fewer than the week before.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 879,192 confirmed coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester. There has been a total of 8,657 deaths.
Cases reported in each of the ten boroughs
Stockport
In Stockport, there were 1931 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 5, which is 673 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Stockport has the highest infection rate in the region. The infection rate in Stockport is down slightly compared with the previous day and the week-on-week trend is down by 26 per cent.
Bury
There was a fall of 35 per cent in cases in Bury over the week ending February 5, and the infection rate is now 521.2 cases per 100,000 population.
Bury recorded 994 positive Covid-19 tests over the seven-day period, and that is 537 fewer than the previous week.
Trafford
In Trafford, the latest infection rate is 565.7 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases has gone down by 27 per cent.
A total of 1344 people tested positive for Covid in Trafford over the seven days ending on February 5, which is 495 fewer than the week before.
Tameside
There were 1333 positive tests over the last week in Tameside, which is 677 fewer than in the previous week.
The week-on-week trend in Tameside is down by 34 per cent and the latest infection rate is 586.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Manchester
In Manchester, the number of cases is down by 32 per cent compared to the previous week - leaving the infection rate at 497.0 cases per 100,000 population.
There were 2762 positive Covid-19 tests in Manchester in the week ending February 5, which was 1304 fewer than the previous 7 days.
Wigan
Wigan saw a total of 1743 cases in the week ending February 5, which is 900 fewer than the previous week. That is a fall of 34 per cent.
In Wigan, the most recent coronavirus infection rate is now 527.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Salford
The trend is down in Salford, where there were 1424 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 5, which is 498 fewer than the previous 7 days. That is down by 26 per cent compared to the previous week.
The latest infection rate in Salford is 542.1 cases per 100,000 people, which is lower than the national average.
Bolton
Bolton recorded 1569 coronavirus cases, which is 669 fewer than in the previous seven days.
The latest infection rate in Bolton is 544.3 cases per 100,000 people and that is down 30 per cent week-on-week.
Oldham
Oldham, which has the lowest infection rate in the region, recorded 1067 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending February 5, which is 605 fewer than the previous 7 days.
The coronavirus infection rate in Oldham is now 449.0 cases per 100,000 people and is down by 36 per cent week-on-week.
Rochdale
Rochdale is an area where the trend is down. The latest infection rate here is 471.7 cases per 100,000 people.
There were 1055 cases recorded in Rochdale, which is 571 fewer than the previous week - a fall of 35 per cent.
