Arsenal have suffered two defeats in their last two matches in the Premier League, but there are still plenty of reasons to feel optimistic at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners lost to Manchester City earlier this month by the single goal, before Leicester City came to North London and also won 1-0 at the weekend.
However, Mikel Arteta has shown in his short time as the club's manager, that he is assembling a squad of players capable of playing his very progressive style of football - helped by the summer transfer window.
With that being said, here are the very latest Arsenal-related transfer rumours.
Arsenal's summer interest in Napoli striker
Arsenal were interested in signing Napoli forward Andrea Petagna in the summer transfer window, according to Calciomercato.
Petagna - who spent the second half of last season on loan at SPAL - scored the winner in Gennaro Gattuso's team's comeback victory over Benevento on Sunday.
According to the report from the Italian outlet, Arteta wanted to sign the 25-year-old over the summer, but the Serie A giants were determined to not let him leave Naples.
It also states that Gattuso, along with Napoli's president Aurelio De Laurentiis both 'rejected' Arsenal's interest in Petagna.
Gunners target wanted by Barca
Arsenal could face competition in the chase for PSV Eindhoven striker Donyell Malen, with Barcelona interested in the Dutch forward.
That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who are reporting that new Barca boss Ronald Koeman wants a reunion with the Netherlands forward.
Koeman gave Malen his debut for the national team, and he has now been identified as the alternative to their summer target Memphis Depay.
The 21-year-old spent two years at the Gunners from 2015 until 2017, but was then sold for just £540,000 to PSV - where he has since scored or assisted 49 goals in 80 matches for the Eredivisie club.
Mustafi makes contract decision
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has rejected a contract extension at the Emirates, football.london understands.
Mustafi has now informed the North London-based club that he plans to leave at the end of the current 2020-21 season.
The German centre-back came on for the injured David Luiz in the Gunners' defeat to Leicester on Sunday, but that is the only league appearance he has made so far this season.
The 28-year-old will be allowed to leave on a free once the season is over, with his current deal expiring at the end of June 2021.
