Arsenal have confirmed that discussions are ongoing regarding plans to renovate the Emirates Stadium in the summer, following concerns from supporters over parts of the structure and its displays.
The Emirates, which was built in 2006, is one of the finest stadiums in the country with a maximum capacity of just over 60,000. It is the fourth-largest ground in England after Wembley, Old Trafford and the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
However, 16 years after being constructed, the Emirates is now looking a bit tired. The colour of spectator seats has faded, the roof has been leaking water and main parts of the exterior have also begun to wane.
These, in addition to other ongoing issues, have been picked up by the club and steps are being put in place to begin improvements, which Arsenal revealed during the recent Fans' Forum.
With the legends wrap that goes around the outside of the Emirates being one of the several areas heading for refurbishment, The Arsenal Way selects two new design ideas that it would like the club to consider as preparations are made.

I would love to see the legendary player numbers’ banner replaced with a picture of Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, alongside other Hale End stars that also shine through when given a chance in the first team.
These players are the heart and soul of the club, and having them on the Emirates as the fans walk-in will give a perfect representation of what Arsenal is about.
It can also provide as motivation for youngsters to one be pictured on the famous stadium, which could become an iconic feature of the ground, similar to Liverpool’s you’ll never walk alone picture in the tunnel.

I would like to see Arsenal give the outside walls of the Emirates a bit more of a modern look whilst maintaining the presence of past and present club figures, events and mottos.
LED lights that change colour and move around, or screens that show rolling pictures and matchday information. Just something that makes it stand out day and night.
When it comes to player images, I think it's important that the Arsenal Women's team gets increased visibility around the Emirates, especially when there are plans for them to play more matches at the ground.
As one of the most followed football clubs in the world, I also feel it would be a nice gesture to display the national flags of countries where we have strong representation. Fans abroad may not be able to physically be there, but we can make their presence felt.
