Late Late Show lineup: Ryan Tubridy's 'nicest guest' returns for one of host's final shows

A personal favourite guest of Ryan Tubridy's, Michael Bublé, will lead the lineup for this weekend's Late Late Show as the departure date for the long-time host draws ever closer.

Ryan will call time on his 14 years with The Late Late Show in just two weeks, May 26, and it remains to be seen who will join him for his final show.

But Ryan is certainly being treated to the returns of some of his personal favourites as the end date approaches, having welcomed Ed Sheeran for a special performance and intimate interview last week.

Canadian crooner Michael Bublé is another musician who holds a special place in the heart of Ryan as the Dubliner has previously described Bublé as the 'nicest person' to have on his show.

He returns this week for a performance and chat with Ryan ahead of his upcoming dates at Dublin's 3Arena on his Higher 2023 tour.

Also confirmed for this Friday night's Late Late Show is Monaghan actress Charlene McKenna, who will talk to Ryan all about her role in the upcoming RTE thriller, Clean Sweep, in which she plays a suburban housewife with a dark and deadly past.

Snooker icon Ronnie O'Sullivan also joins the lineup to discuss his legendary career, as well as personal issues through which he's battled to become one of the all-time greats.

Another sporting hero in Philly McMahon will also make an appearance, alongside comedian Rory O'Connor of Rory's Stories and Mountjoy Prison governor Edward Mullins. The trio will talk through new RTE series Gaelic in the Joy, in which they put prisoners through their paces in preparation for the chance to play at Croke Park.

Music comes from The Tumbling Paddies, who will take on a very special rendition of a Pogues classic.

The Late Late Show airs at 9.35pm tomorrow night, Friday, on RTE One and the RTE Player.
