After a much-loved pub in Craigmillar announced their closure last year, many market it the 'end of an era'.
However locals will be thrilled to discover the popular spot is now reopening, under new management. The watering hole had a steady flow of punters, since they opened back in the '60s.
Before closing, the venue had been on Peffer Place for decades, though shut on Sunday September 11 after a long period of serving as a community hub. It was the last remaining pub in the working class community in the area.

Posting on a Facebook event page, the new manager said: "I just want to give you a little update on Omans I finally have it all sorted and I’m taking possession of the keys tomorrow.
"Hopefully I can open for Friday 2 pm. I’m rushing this, I’ve not organised any events or anything but give us a week or so and I'll put on a party for you.
"I look forward to welcoming you to your local for some drinks, laughs and good old banter. Exciting times ahead."
When they closed last year, the Drybrough family updated locals by posting on social media: "Well after 40+ years in the family we are unfortunately giving up Omans.
"It’s had its great moments, sad moments and bad moments also but we absolutely loved it. This weekend is the final weekend here with us why not come along and celebrate the good times with us this Saturday."
Residents were quick to express disappointment at the time. Local resident Sandra Lambert Alexander exclaimed: "That’s a shame it’s a working mans, never know it not to be there a lot of elderly men go there for company and dominos."
Many agreed and fondly remembered afternoons and early evenings spent playing dominos in the pub. Jim Foy said : "My dad played dominoes there last the 50's".
Many found love in the local pub, with Maggie McDonald-Fyvie adding: "I met my husband there."
Catherine Mclay did too, writing: "I met my husband in Omans nearly 35 years ago."
