The date of the last ever episode of Neighbours has been revealed - and fans in UK and Australia will both be shown it at the same time.
The much-loved Aussie soap is disappearing from our screens after nearly 37 years and almost 9,000 episodes after Channel 5 in the UK pulled out of funding the show.
Programme makers confirmed earlier this month it will finish for good and now it's been revealed the final episode will air on Monday, August 1.
TV Tonight reports the Australian channel which airs Neighbours - channel 10 Peach - will broadcast double episodes from Monday June 13 so it can catch up with the UK.
A Network 10 spokesperson stated: "From Monday June 13, friends of Ramsay St can tune into double the fun, double the action with double episodes to celebrate the final season of Neighbours."
"The ultimate series finale will air on Monday August 1."
Digital Spy reported Channel 5 in the UK has also chosen that date to broadcast the finale.
Neighbours exec producer Jason Herbison said of the final instalment: "Ramsay Street is eternal and I like to think it will live on in the hearts and minds of the viewers, long after the final scene. I would never, ever blow it up.
"The ending will be a celebration of the past and the present, with the door very much left open for a future."
Neighbours is on weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on the UK's Channel 5 and streams on My5.
