A GAA club in Cavan is holding a raffle with the life-changing prize of a refurbished Dublin City Centre apartment or €250,000.
Bailieborough Shamrocks GAA will host the draw on Monday, 11 July 2022 - and there’s a massive 30 percent of tickets unsold. To be in with a chance of winning the keys to an apartment in the heart of Dublin, tickets are priced at €100 and you can buy one here.
The raffle is part of the club’s ambitious fundraising efforts to develop a state of the art community facility. The funds raised from the draw will go towards the completion of a state-of-the-art community hub in the East Cavan town, with social, physical and mental health at its core.

Bailieborough Shamrocks GAA Chairman, Gavin Mackey said: “The first prize on offer is either a fourth floor apartment based in Jervis Place, Dublin 1 or a quarter of a million cash. The apartment, which has been fully refurbished to an incredibly high standard, is less than a 15 minute walk to some of Dublin’s most famous attractions such as Grafton Street, O’Connell Street, Temple Bar and Trinity College Dublin.
"Guinness Storehouse is only a 20 minute walk away along the River Liffey. However, we understand that people might not want to live in Dublin, therefore we are offering the lucky winner €250,000 instead if that is what they wish.
“Someone’s life will change on Monday evening. However, each ticket that is bought will change the lives of hundreds of children, teenagers and adults in our community and beyond. If you have bought a ticket, it could be you getting that phone call on Monday, if you haven’t, it won’t be you.”
When this draw commenced the maximum amount of tickets available was 10,000. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase, however the draw is only open to people over the age of 18.
