
Over the last year, Las Vegas Strip casinos have presented several first-ever headliner residencies of superstar performers.
Hip-hop made its mark on the Strip in July 2024 when Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino hosted its first major hip-hop residency when legendary New York hip-hop stars Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, and Doug E. Fresh joined DJ Cassidy for his "Pass the Mic Live" residency for six shows.

The next major hip-hop show was rap superstar 50 Cent, who debuted his first Las Vegas Strip residency, "50 Cent: In Da Club," at Caesars Entertainment's PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Dec. 27, 2024, for six shows that closed on Jan. 4, 2025.

The residency was named after Grammy Award-winning hip-hop star 50 Cent's smash hit No. 1 single "In Da Club," which was featured on his debut No. 1 hit album "Get Rich or Die Trying" in 2003.
Country music also had a major debut engagement as superstar Blake Shelton wrapped up his first-ever Vegas Strip residency with the final show of his six-performance run, which opened on Feb. 5 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace and closed on Feb 15.
Legendary boy band New Kids On The Block will open its first Las Vegas Strip residency, "The Right Stuff," at MGM Resorts International's MGM Dolby Live at Park MGM with 24 shows starting June 20, 2025, and continuing in June, July, November 2025, and February 2026.

New Kids On the Block's original members – Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood – will perform their hits songs including "You Got It (The Right Stuff)," "Hangin' Tough," "I'll be Loving You," and "Cover Girl," all from their blockbuster second album, "Hangin' Tough" that hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1989.
Superstar rocker Lenny Kravitz sold out the first residency that ran five nights at Dolby Live at Park MGM on Oct. 18-26, 2024, but the "Are Ya Gonna Go My Way" singer extended his Blue Electric Light Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live for five shows on Aug. 1, 2, 6, 8, and 9, 2025.

Alanis Morissette opens her first Vegas Strip residency
And now, popular 90s superstar singer Alanis Morissette debuts her first Las Vegas Strip residency at Caesars Entertainment's The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for eight shows beginning in October 2025.

The "Hand In My Pocket" singer, whose career skyrocketed with the release of her 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill," performs Oct. 15, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, Nov. 1, and 2, 2025, with all shows starting at 8 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 7 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com.
