Las Vegas Strip brings back country star residency for last shows

The Las Vegas Strip is known for hosting some of the biggest music performers dating back to the 1940s. In its early years, the Strip's hotel casinos hosted residencies with huge stars, such as Liberace, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. More modern residencies have included Celine Dion, Elton John, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Cher and Bette Midler.

In addition to a long list of pop and rock music residencies, country music was well-represented on the Strip with classic artists performing, such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. In more recent years, the Strip has hosted country star residencies such as Shania Twain in 2012, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill the same year, Brooks & Dunn with Reba McEntire in 2015, George Strait in 2016, and Lady Antebellum, now known as Lady A, in 2019.
