Police recovered a stolen vehicle after swarming an area near a park in Bolton. There was a large police presence on Hall Lane in Farnworth last night (Tuesday).
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have confirmed they were responding after tracing a stolen vehicle to the area.
It had earlier been taken from a premises in Heywood they said. Officers recovered the vehicle. Investigations into the incident are ongoing they added.

Eyewitnesses said there were a number of police vehicles parked on Hall Lane near the entrance to Moses Gate Country Park.
“At around 9pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 9 August 2022), officers received reports of a stolen vehicle from a premises on Bury New Road, Heywood," a GMP spokesperson said.
"Officers responded and located the stolen vehicle on Hall Lane in Bolton. The vehicle was recovered and investigations are ongoing.”
No more details about the incident, including the type of vehicle seized, have been disclosed.
