Armed police officers closed off roads in a County Durham town during a large scale police incident.
Durham Constabulary officers at Front Street as they carried out a search warrant at a property in Chester-le-Street this morning.
Front Street was closed to all vehicles and pedestrians between Cooperative Street and Station Road both ways with passer-bys reporting a police presence from around 10am on Saturday.

Members of the public also reported a police helicopter over the town at the time.
Multiple police cars and vans were seen in the town centre with some reports of firearms officers with guns.
It has not been confirmed if any arrests were carried out.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary confirmed their presence at Front Street and Middle Chare.
They said: "Officers carried out a search warrant at a property in Chester-le-Street this morning.
"The scene has now been stood down."
Front Street reopened at around 11am following some disruption to public transport.
Major bus operators Go North East have now have confirmed that all bus routes through Chester-le-Street are running again.
