Large police cordon in place following serious incident on residential street in Moston

A large police cordon was in place on a residential street in Moston on Thursday evening.

Edale Avenue was taped off by officers and police were still in attendance until at least 8pm.

The exact nature of the incident is unclear although it is believed at least one vehicle was involved.

Specialist collision investigators were pictured at the scene, along with police officers and Crime Scene Investigators. Images taken on Edale Avenue showed a number of police vehicles in attendance.

Police appeared to be examining a black Vauxhall vehicle that was within the cordon.

Forensics officers were seen taking pictures of the road as officers guarded the scene.

The Manchester Evening News has contacted GMP for comment.
