An eviction order has been served after a group of travellers set up in a patch of city woodland. Travellers have encamped at Colwick Woods in Nottingham, having been first spotted over the weekend of Saturday, July 2.
Nottingham City Council who manage the area, said there were 17 vehicles on the site. They added the travellers had been served a 24-hour eviction notice.
A Nottingham City Council spokesperson said: "[Nottingham City Council] understand it’s an encampment of 17 vehicles. The standard 24-hour eviction order has been served."

Around 20 caravans previously parked at The Meadows Recreation Ground, on the land behind the the War Memorial at Victoria Embankment. More recently a group of families set up at Hempshill Lane Recreation Ground, in Bulwell.
