A large funeral procession travelling from Cardiff to Newport caused widespread traffic disruption.
South Wales Police issued a warning to motorists to allow extra time for their journeys as a result of the cortege on Wednesday.
It is understood that the procession is part of the first of two days of commemorations culminating in a funeral on Thursday.

A statement read: "We are aware of a large funeral taking place. A cortege is expected to travel from Cardiff to Newport via Splott Rd and Lamby Way between 2pm and 4pm.
"Motorists are advised there could be congestion in these areas and to consider alternative routes."
Traffic monitors reported delays along the A4232 Cardiff southbound from A4161 Newport Road to Lamby Way on Wednesday afternoon.
Delays were also reported on Pengam Road Northbound from Muirton Road to Rover Way.
Video footage of the cortege showed a line of vehicles travelling slowly while the sound of car horns were heard blaring out with hazard warning lights on display.
One vehicle had flowers strapped to its roof including a 'dad' wreath.
