Pictures from a road in Carlton show the clear-up mission after a tree fell across the street. It is thought to have fallen earlier on Tuesday afternoon (January 31) in Conway Road.
The road was forced to temporarily close following the incident, with signs up warning pedestrians of the situation. An earlier picture from the scene had shown the tree blocking the width of the road, and a van turning around.
But officials have been working to remove the tree - and Conway Road reopened at around 4pm. The incident came on a day of heavy gusts of wind.

According to the Met Office wind gusts across the county reached 25mph on Tuesday. A picture of the fallen tree had been shared on a local community Facebook post earlier in the day.
One person wrote: "Nearly walked there this lunch … glad I didn’t." Another said: "I was there around 11.30am. Walked under that very tree. It was really quite windy!"
Nottinghamshire Live has contacted Nottinghamshire County Council, the authority responsible for clearing the tree, for comment.
