It's not uncommon for designers to have muses. Audrey Hepburn inspired Hubert de Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier connected with Madonna and Azzedine Alaïa often looked to Grace Jones, for starters. Now we can add Sally LaPointe and Oprah Winfrey to the list as the designer selected the legend as her muse for Spring 2025.
"I view Oprah as my North Star. We have been dressing her periodically for a few years now so I have gotten to understand her style and what she gravitates towards, which aligns perfectly with the LaPointe ethos I want to project. She epitomizes who the LaPointe woman is in every way: a strong, courageous individual who dresses for herself and no one else," explains LaPointe.
Winfrey models the new LaPointe Spring 2025 collection in style. From a batwing gown to double denim to a sequin mesh tee and even a crepe jacket with feathers, she owns each and every look. The lookbook was styled by Annabelle Harron and photographed by Ruven Afanador. It's one of the most exciting New York Fashion Week presentations of the season.
