It includes 131 bedrooms and penthouses, a lounge bar, restaurant, roof garden, gym, conferencing and events space, as well as secure underground car parking for 120 cars.

The sale comes after the operational real estate team at CBRE in Manchester was appointed by Waterfront Southport Properties Ltd to advise on the future of the Bliss Hotel and adjoining major development opportunity on the Waterfront.

CBRE was instructed to explore options for the hotel and development scheme.

The hotel underwent a £15m refurbishment programme in 2019, as reported by LancsLive.

Shaun Skidmore, senior director at CBRE Manchester, said: "We are delighted to work with Waterfront Southport Properties to market the recently upscaled luxury boutique hotel, which is in a prime position to the progressing events centre and exciting waterfront development.

"The area is primed to attract a host of economic benefits thanks to this highly significant, multi-million pound regeneration scheme."

The asking price for the hotel has not been disclosed.
