Ellysium Automotives, the company promoting British electric vehicle brand One Moto in the country, is hopeful of finalising a site soon in Zaheerabad for the manufacturing facility it proposes to set up with an initial investment of ₹200 crore.
Telangana government has shown a few land parcels in Zaheerabad and a decision on the site is likely to be known in a few weeks, co-founder Sameer Moidin said on Thursday. He estimated 9-11 months would be required for the plant to be commissioned. The plan is to begin with an annual capacity to manufacture 25,000 bikes and by the third year, scale up to 1 lakh units, he added.
In an interaction, following Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan inaugurating One Moto experience hub here, he said the company has a CKD (completely knocked down) facility in the city to roll out imported bikes in the market initially. There are plans to have around 15 experience hubs, across the country, by May and each of the facility will also have a service centre, Mr.Moidin said.
Ellysium, in a release, said the experience hub is aimed at allowing customers to experience the products and technology. The hub will be managed by MCube Automotives, it said.

A growing interest in electric vehicles is leading to many firms making a foray or forging partnerships in the segment.
KR Foods Director Rajender Kumar Kothapally recently announced an association with ADMS Marketing for production and sales of the latter’s range of products for Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The production facility is in Toopran and spread over 30,000 sq.ft. with a capacity of 4,000 vehicles per month.
The company said it has already produced 500 vehicles at the plant near here and is in the process of deploying robotic technology to enhance the capacity to 10,000 vehicles per month.
