A man was attacked in his Lanarkshire home by a woman who accused him of stealing money and drugs.
Sarah Wright hit her victim with secateurs, held a long screw at his throat and threatened to gouge out his eye.
The terrified man was forced to borrow money and buy drugs before he was able to escape from Wright and an accomplice.
Wright, 33, of Crawford Hill, East Kilbride, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.
She admitted assaulting and robbing the victim at his home on Donaldson Street, Hamilton, on December 4, 2020.
The court heard Wright and her companion had accused him of stealing cocaine.
Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, said: "He denied this but he was punched and kicked as he sat on the couch.
"Wright picked up what are described as secateurs and struck him on the head and hand, causing a cut to his finger."
Allegations that the pair tried to cut off his finger and burned his hair, head and hands with a lighter were dropped.
Wright and her accomplice continued to threaten him and eventually he left the house to borrow £20 which he gave to Wright.
The fiscal added: "She then handed him £60 and demanded he go out and buy more drugs which he did.
"But when he returned Wright again accused him of stealing money.
"She held a long screw at his neck and threatened to stab him. She warned that if he did not provide money she would gouge out his eye."
The other person then punched and kicked him.
The victim went out again and borrowed £10 from someone, but with Wright and her accomplice chasing him he managed to flee in a taxi before contacting the police.
Wright was traced to her then home at the Blue Triangle homeless unit in Sheiling Hill, Hamilton.
Defence agent Jackson Bateman said his client "struggles with addiction issues".
He added: "There was a dispute over drugs and money. That doesn't excuse her behaviour."
Sheriff Colin Dunipace deferred sentence until July and Wright was allowed to remain on bail, but with a 7pm-7am curfew.
