And at around 2am tomorrow, the Met Office has forecast "light snow showers" across Lanarkshire.

And from midnight up until 11am, a yellow warning for ice will be in place across the region.

The Met Office said: "Icy patches are likely, especially on untreated surfaces, leading to tricky travel conditions in places."

Snow showers are set to return in Lanarkshire at around 6am, with temperatures falling to a chilly 2 degrees Celsius.

At around 9am it will turn to sleet showers, with the snow returning around 10am.

Light rain showers will fall for the remainder of the morning, with temperatures falling to 3 degrees Celsius.
