A Lanarkshire thug attacked his partner then crashed a car after storming out of the house.
Paul Coulter, who was under the influence at the time, acknowledged his behaviour was "absolutely disgraceful".
Coulter, 40, appeared from custody via videolink at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
He admitted striking the female victim on the head with a metal kitchen roll holder at their home in Viewpark, on August 22 last year.
Coulter also admitted driving while disqualified and while unfit through drink or drugs, and failing to stop after a crash.
In 2016, he was jailed for three years and nine months for a serious assault on a woman at her home in Glasgow.
The latest attack followed a row between Coulter and his partner at a pub.
They went home separately and another argument started, with Coulter demanding to know where the car keys were.
Abby Seal, prosecuting, said: "He struck his partner twice on the head with a metal kitchen roll holder, causing a cut.
"He then drove off in the vehicle."
At around 3am, residents in Laburnum Road, Viewpark, were wakened by a "loud bang" and saw their car had been hit by another vehicle, causing "drastic" damage.
Coulter was seen leaving the area.
Defence agent Marisa Borland blamed alcohol for her client's behaviour.
She stated: "He works as an electrician. He had been sober for a long period and his partner had kept him on the straight and narrow.
"His behaviour on this night was absolutely disgraceful. He can't believe he acted in this way."
"She is still very supportive of him", Ms Borland added.
Sheriff Andrew McIntyre deferred sentence until next month for a criminal justice social work report and remanded Coulter in custody.
The sheriff told him: "You have a history of serious domestic offences."
