Lanarkshire teen takes country charts by storm with release of her debut single

A young Lanarkshire singer is celebrating the successful launch of her new single.

Robyn Red is just 17, but has been scrapping it out for top billing in the country charts with her new single, 'Like A Bullet'.

The Airdrie singer takes inspiration from country artists such as Luke Combs and Ashley Mcbryde to create her own unique style.

In 2019, Robyn performed at the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles and has been perfecting her music ever since.

Robyn has spent almost three years preparing her single and has said all the hard work has paid off.

She told Lanarkshire Live: "I wrote the song in 2019 and I have been working on it ever since.

"It is about an old friend I had in school who I started to drift apart from. I used to see her every day in school and I always thought a part of me was missing when she wasn't in my life.

"I began working in the studio in December 2021 to get the song recorded and ready for people to hear.

"I am so happy to have my own, original piece of music out there for people to enjoy."

Since releasing the track, Robyn has seen amazing success on a number of music charts.

She peaked at number three on the iTunes Country chart, as well as number 15 on the Amazon Best Sellers All Genres chart.

She said: "I did not expect any of this when I released the song, it has been crazy.

"To even chart is amazing, never mind to be on so many charts.

"I was even battling my idol, Luke Combs, at one point. I can't quite believe it.

"This has really inspired me to release more music and continue making a name for myself. Next year I would like to have an EP out or even an album."
