A Lanarkshire music teacher starring in this year's Great British Bake Off has sailed through the first week of the competition.
Kevin Flynn appeared in the famous tent on Tuesday night on the hit show on Channel 4.
He even managed to impress the judges with his first showstopper challenge where he made a cake of his childhood home.
The 33-year-old from Motherwell, and now living in Hamilton, was met with praise from Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith who thought his baking was worthy of another week in the popular contest.
Kevin modelled a banana cake of his house, and thankfully it wasn't for sending him home.
He called it ' Ba-Na-Na That's my Hame ' which was beautifully decorated in detail, and tasted "delicious" according to the show's judge Paul.
Talented Kevin has been baking since he was 17, but he also teaches and performs music, mainly on saxophone, as well as flute, piano and clarinet.
Going into this year's Bake Off, he says he looks to utilise his "good command of flavours and technique" and think on his feet if something goes wrong.
His reaction to making into the Bake Off tent was met with "a few minutes of pure joy (and to get my eyebrows down off the roof), then a good six weeks of ‘what have I done'," he said.
Reflecting on the first week of filming, Kevin added: "I remember being oddly comforted by the realisation that all the other bakers were just as terrified as I was.
"What I found even stranger was when the emotions hit at the end of our first showstopper. I was so proud of what we had all produced, I nearly had a wee tear in my eye!"
Kevin is already being supported by locals across Lanarkshire, including fellow teachers.
He now hopes to make many people in his community proud during his time on the show.
Kevin told Lanarkshire Live : "It feels great to be representing my local community on The Great British Bake Off. Lots of my friends and family are already fans of the show, and I hope I've brought the joy of the show a bit closer to home.
"So many people have gotten in touch with me to wish me the best and to have a laugh at my facial expressions and mishaps! I feel really well-supported.
"I really set out to be myself and to be true to my roots. My accent might be a bit more difficult to pick up in other parts of the country, and the humour might not always translate, but I'm very much playing for the home team!
"I think one of the best things about people from our part of the world is that we take life seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Coming from the west of Scotland has taught me that a sense of humour can help in any situation!
"I grew up in Motherwell and now live in Hamilton, I have taught in schools all over the west of Scotland, I've been part of a church community my whole life - there are so many people I want to do proud.
"At the same time though, if I make an absolute show of myself on national telly, I'll be happy I've given them something to chuckle at!"
As always, the Great British Bake Off sees 12 amateur bakers compete over the series to be crowned Star Baker.
So it's apron on and mixing bowls at the ready for Lanarkshire man Kevin as he looks to claim the coveted prize.
The local contestant now looks forward to next Tuesday's show which features Biscuit Week.
