A Lanarkshire teacher is facing being banned from the profession after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a pupil.
A report by the General Teaching Council Scotland outlines that the teacher was working at a school in South Lanarkshire between August 2018 and February 2019 when he allegedly embarked on a 'sexually motivated' relationship that led to him sending a 17-year-old girl a video of him masturbating and threatening her not to tell.
It's claimed the sixth-year pupil had been volunteering as a teaching assistant with the teacher, who referred to himself in emails as 'Mr A', in August 2018 when he began giving her compliments about her appearance.

He told her that she looked 'really grown up' and touched her on the shoulders, elbow, and back of the neck in front of second-year pupils.
A month later, he is accused of quizzing her on experiences of sexual assault, and her relationship status and told her that they should 'go for drinks' when she left school. He also provided her with his personal email address.
It's claimed advances continued with him making sexually suggestive jokes, squeezing her sides, asking her to apply make-up on him before a Halloween party, and touching her leg while she was doing so.
And when a second-year pupil at the school asked the teacher about the possibility of him and the pupil entering a relationship, he said she was "too small" for him.
It's alleged he told the child that there "wasn't that much of an age gap" between the two when it was suggested a relationship would be inappropriate.
In emails exchanged between the pair in October 2018, it is claimed teacher made reference to the teenager getting 'dressed up' for him in a Wonder Woman costume. He went on to call her "an innocent wee thing" and mentioned how inappropriate his behaviour was.
In one email he is accused of writing: "It would be inappropriate for me to disagree and say you looked great in the costume so I’m not going to say that" and "I am so deleting these e-mails after tonight, maybe I like frustrating you. And maybe I’ll tell you if you promise to delete the e-mails after too so we don’t get in trouble, 18 or not this sort of conversation is definitely against the rules."
By November 2018, he had asked the pupil to add him on Snapchat, but warned her not to tell anyone as they would both get into trouble.
In the sordid messages, it's claimed asked her if she was a virgin and if she had any sexual fantasies or kinks. He told her that he liked being called 'daddy' and that he wanted to kiss her, put his tongue 'between her thighs', and make her scream 'daddy', and went on to send her indecent images of himself and a video of him masturbating.
It is alleged when the teenager expressed discomfort about sending images of an intimate nature to him, he told her she was his 'little secret', and telling her nothing could happen while she was at school, but after she left they would 'see how it goes'. He added that the relationship could 'only be physical'.
Despite the teenager still being in school, it is claimed he invited her to his flat to have sex with him to which she expressed concerns and again for a 'movie night'.
The messaging is believed to have continued into November 2018 when he referred to her as his 'bad little girl' and asked her what she was wearing.
In later conversations, he is accused of telling her 'not long now until you're a big girl' and that she was 'very attractive'.
By February 2019, the it is alleged pupil had raised concerns that he was using her and had hurt her. He told her she was making a drama out of nothing and mocked her for not believing in casual sex, and telling here he fantasised about having sex with her in his classroom.
Further threatening messages are alleged to have been sent telling the girl that no one would believe her if she told them about the relationship, saying: "How would your mum feel if she found out about her perfect little princess?' and warned her to 'think of all the rumours going around the school."
The teacher is due to go before a Fitness to Teach hearing later this month.
