A Wishaw student has received recognition from top arts bodies at her college's end of year show.
Earlier this month, representatives from Visual Arts Scotland (VAS) and the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA) Committee, visited the student exhibition at Forth Valley College.
VAS shortlisted three BA Art and Design third year students to show their work at a Graduate Showcase Award which judges college students’ work alongside fourth year Honours students from the four Scottish Art Schools.
Kirstie McKeen, from Wishaw, was one of the successful students. She started her BA at the college after completing an HND Art and Design from New College Lanarkshire.
Linda Paterson, curriculum manager in Forth Valley College's Department of Creative Industries, Hospitality and Tourism, told Lanarkshire Live: “We have never had this number of shortlisted students before, so are delighted.
"I think that the variety of programmes they all progressed from is testament to the success of the interdisciplinary nature of the degree and is quite unique to us here at FVC. Three of them now have offers on the BA Honours Art & Design at the University of Stirling.
“We were sad once again to only invite family and friends of students to come along to view the work on display at the End of Year Show, but the quality of work on display has been very high once again.
"Fingers crossed we will be back to a full show next year and we will be able to invite the public in to see the work our talented students produce year in and year out. We are very proud of them all.”
