A Lanarkshire soft play which announced last week it was closing its doors has now said it will reopen on Friday in the same location.
Lollipop Land at Playsport in East Kilbride was ordered to close its doors with immediate effect after the landlord released a statement alleging serious safety breaches.
The shock announcement left swathes of customers who had bookings at the venue in the lurch, fearing they would be out of pocket.
In a statement issued to Lanarkshire Live by landlords they claimed that "overheating circuits" posed a fire risk and that "fire escape routes were blocked" and that it had it had "terminated the lease agreement pertaining to Lollipop Land with immediate effect".
They have not yet confirmed Lollipop Land's latest announcement.
Posted on Facebook this week, it read: "Lollipop land is delighted to announce that we will be opening our doors again at the same location on Friday at 9.30am.
"First of all we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our family, friends and especially our loyal customers for their kind words and support through this time .
"We will be offering a complimentary goodie bag for all children attending on Friday. We really missed you all."
There was a mixed reaction from parents on social media.
One local wrote: "So happy for you all! Great news! We can’t wait to come!"
Another parent posted: "I am so happy Lollipop Land is back on!! Would have been one massive loss to EK!! Great place!"
But one disgruntled customer wrote: "What about a free session for all the birthday children that missed out because of shutting at such short notice?
"Or parents who had to pay double to ensure there children weren’t left disappointed and had no party....loyalty."
And a parent added: "So what's happening to all the families who booked parties there and got them cancelled? I've had to book somewhere else short notice and its costing an additional £150.
"This whole scandal has cost a lot of families dearly. Don't really understand what's going on?!"
Bouncestation, which operate from the same unit, but are a separate company also posted last week that they were closing due to circumstances out with their control.
The latest post on their Facebook is asking anyone who has vouchers to contact them - but there are no further updates.
Playsport declined to comment at this stage and Lollipop Land and Bouncestation EK were contacted for comment.
