Lanarkshire shoppers can grab bargain or two at Ravenscraig indoor market

Lanarkshire shoppers are being urged to grab themselves a bargain or two at an upcoming indoor market.

The Too Good To Throw market will be coming to the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility on Sunday, July 2, from midday to 3pm with it being the perfect opportunity to browse through inflation busting bargains.

Event organiser Leeann Gillespie said: “This will be our biggest event yet. At the moment we have 60 stalls booked and we are expecting to have 70+ on the day.

“The market is a brilliant way for families or people who may be struggling, to pick-up clothes, shoes and toys for a fantastic low price.

“On the day there will be stalls selling a huge variety of new, preloved, nearly-new clothes, shoes, baby items, household goods, toys, games, and so much more.

“It can help you get kitted out for your holidays and we also have stallholders selling retro football tops.”

Leeann and the Too Good to Throw team have held markets in Wishaw, Bellshill, Coatbridge and Scotstoun over the past few months.

And Leeann has been pleased with the response the market has received.

She added: “The footfall at all of the events has been very good and I think people like the community aspect.

“Many people who come will remember markets being in towns such as Wishaw and this is a great way of meeting up with friends as well as picking up a bargain or two.

“As well as getting clothes or goods at an excellent price it also helps create a more sustainable world which is good for the environment.”

The entrance fee on the day is £1.50 with under-16s going free although they must be accompanied by an adult.

More information is available on the Too Good to Throw website.
