Lanarkshire is set to continue basking in the spring sunshine this week, as forecasters predict temperatures hotter than Spain.
After temperatures hit an unseasonable 16C in parts of the county over the weekend, forecasters are predicting another blast of good weather this week.
The Met Office say the hottest day this week is likely to be Tuesday.
It's possible the warmer than average weather could reach 17C to 18C across the whole of Scotland and possibly up to 19C further north on Wednesday.
Some areas will surpass temperatures in Barcelona, which will experience 14C on Tuesday according to weather.com.
Conditions will also be slightly colder in Madrid (13C) and Monaco (15C).
The Met Office website shows "fairly consistent high teens" are broadly possible across Lanarkshire on Tuesday, which is warmer than average for this period.
A Met Office spokesperson said of Tuesday's weather: "It will be a dry and bright day with sunny spells. A chilly start then becoming unseasonably warm by the afternoon. Light southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
" Outlook for Wednesday to Friday is h igh pressure close by will keep settled weather for the rest of the week. So all parts staying dry with sunny spells and mostly light winds."
There are also hopes that this warm spell lasts into next month, with odds for the warmest April on record tumbling.
