The Sixth East Kilbride Scout Group lived up to one of their core values of helping other people.
It co-ordinated the collection of 69 baby boxes and donations of other items that will go to help Ukrainian refugees.
Helping the Scout group were members of the public, Lisa Cameron MP, Councillor John Anderson, and East Kilbride MSYP, Jack Donaghy.
Beaver Leader, Jenna Brown, told Lanarkshire Live : “We all came together as a community which is just so wonderful.
"Members of the public who made donations, those that came along to help with sorting and filling the boxes, Window to the Womb who gathered many of the Baby Boxes and Arnold Clark who supplied a van to help transport the boxes and donations.
"It was a real community effort, and we thank everyone that contributed in some way.
"I would also like to thank the children from our Scout Group who helped pack the boxes. They are so young, but they wanted to do their part to help which was amazing to see."
Councillor John Anderson said: “I would like to express my solidarity with the Ukrainian people and in particular the children of Ukraine who are suffering.
"The compassion and generosity of people across East Kilbride to help those caught up in this devastating conflict was witnessed by their generosity in donating clothes and materials the Ukrainian children will need in the coming days.
"It was great to see so many of our young people getting involved and send a message of hope to the children in Ukraine.”
Lisa Cameron MP said: “I was humbled to contribute to this vital effort and thank all the wonderful organisations involved in East Kilbride’s humanitarian relief work for the children of Ukraine.
"An 'early day motion' will be raised in the House of Commons to commend the compassion and kindness of those taking part.”
