Green-fingered pupils at an Airdrie school are flying high after they secured a new eco flag.
Rochsolloch Primary's eco committee achieved the soaring success by developing the school grounds, growing their own food and helping to clean up the community during litter-picking events.
Children and staff teamed up to unfurl the new flag, which now takes pride of place on the site of the Bellsdyke Road school.
Principal teacher Lindsay Torley told Lanarkshire Live : "Our eco committee achieved our eco flag by developing our school grounds, taking action on litter and waste and growing our own foods.
"We completed activities such as daily litter-picks as well as a litter-pick in the local community, and we grew vegetables in our garden which we used to cook with.
"The committee raised awareness of the benefits of growing and buying local produce and developed our playground by installing new planters and expanding our loose parts play.
"I am so proud of the enthusiasm and hard work shown by our school community in achieving our green flag award.
"Our eco team have been committed and passionate about making a difference to our planet and it is amazing to see their work recognised."
