A Wishaw salon owner has said winning at the Scottish Business Awards was a 'great boost' for his staff.
Tony Moore opened Tony Moore Hair in July 2019 but just months later was forced to close due to the effects of the coronavirus lockdown.
But now his business is thriving and he is celebrating the opening of his second salon on Wishaw Main Street.
Tony said that over lockdown it was touch and go if he would ever reopen but has said that winning Best Hair Salon in Lanarkshire has made the last two years all worth it.
He told Lanarkshire Live: "We never expected to take home the win, we were just buzzing to be nominated.
"It has been such a tough time for everyone in the industry over the last two years so to come out the other end with this award and a new salon is great.
"We only opened the new salon the day before the ceremony so to then to be awarded Best Hair Salon in Lanarkshire, it is just such a great boost for everyone.
"The awards night was in the Hilton in Bellshill and we went with all the staff and had such a fantastic night.
"I am delighted with the win and so happy for all my staff as well, they deserve it."
