Lanarkshire restaurant wins prize at Scottish Curry Awards

A Cambuslang restaurant has proved it is hot stuff after a win at this year’s Scottish Curry Awards.

'Himalayan Dine In' is turning up the heat after coming out top in the ‘Best Loved Restaurant of the Year - South West’ section.

The curry house – a Nepalese and Indian sit-in and takeaway – opened in Cambuslang after a successful three years in Airdrie.

It is known for its excellent service and variety of food such as curries, kormas, and pakora.

Take-aways are also available from the restaurant via the JustEat website.

A spokesman for the restaurant told Lanarkshire Live : “We highly appreciate the love and support from all our customers, without whom, it would not have been possible to win this award.

We value our customers and we’ll continue to provide them with the best food and service.

“Thank you very much to everyone who has used our restaurant.”

Rutherglen MSP Clare Haughey visited the restaurant to congratulate them on their success.

She told us : “It was great to have visited the Himalayan Dine In to offer my congratulations for their success at the Scottish Curry Awards.

"With so many great restaurants nearby and further afield, winning was no mean feat and is testament to the service they offer.”
