Pupils from Calderside Academy in Blantyre were recognised for their achievements as the school hosted its first Senior Awards Ceremony since 2019.
Headteacher Skene Dodds welcomed pupils, parents and staff to the school last week to celebrate the successes of former S4, 5 and 6 pupils. Also in attendance and warmly welcomed was some former members of staff who have moved on to new positions or retirement.
A variety of awards were presented on the night including commendations for students as well as Merit Awards for individual subjects at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
There was also a number of special awards given to pupils who have gone above and beyond throughout the school year and this saw the Dux awarded to Jenny O'Brien and the special Calderside Commendation to Jasmin Samson.
A school spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live : "We were very lucky to have some musical interludes provided by our Taiko Drumming group and the Woodwind Group. There were also speeches from a range of guest speakers.
"All in all, it was a very successful evening and it was great to be able to have proud parents back into the school in person."
