Lanarkshire Pub of The Year - is Corrigan's your favourite local?

The finalists for the Lanarkshire Live Pub of The Year competition are in.

Hundreds of votes were cast for our inaugural competition, highlighting the importance of a good local to our readers and communities.

Our very merry band of secret shoppers were delighted to embark on their covert, boozy mission to put a final nail in the coffin of any residing New Year’s resolutions, partaking in a few pints, glasses of wines and halves on the fly along the way.

And having submitted their comprehensive reviews of the leading favourites – marking them from one to ten in 10 different categories – we can now reveal your top 10 favourite boozers.

And that includes the much-loved Corrigan's in Wishaw.

Situated in the heart of Wishaw town centre, Corrigan’s can raise a glass to their loyal customers.

The Corrigan’s team have built a strong reputation for serving excellent pints and patter in equal measure, making it into the top 10 in the Lanarkshire Live Pub of the Year.

Run by brother and sister team Derek Wyse and Tracey Broadfoot, the duo have turned the pub into a popular watering hole in Wishaw since taking over the bar eight years ago.

And with a delicious cool pint for less than £3 it’s easy to see why.

Walking in from the freezing cold, I was able to enjoy a couple of pints while settling down to enjoy a few live races on of the many TVs inside.

As well as an homely atmosphere during the day, Corrigan’s comes alive in the evening with the pub being packed out over four nights as the karaoke kings and queens come out to enjoy themselves.

It all adds to a fantastic local for young and old to enjoy.

And now it’s back over to you.

We need you to vote one last time for the pub you think should be crowned Pub of The Year for 2022 and be in with a shout of winning a £50 bar tab on us!

Simply vote using the jotform below by no later than 12pm on Wednesday, March 2. We’ll announce our winner on Friday, March 2.
